The wave bands wrap the entire surface of each bead — there is no single fixed face, no top or bottom, only the continuous composition of two undulating cream-pale bands against the dark ground that presents differently at every rotation. From the body-shot angles, the waves read as two parallel horizontal undulating lines running around the equator. From the drill-end angles, the same waves resolve into large sweeping arcs that divide each pole into curved segments of dark and pale. Bead B (20.4×17.4mm) carries a warmer dark brown ground — distinctly browner in character — with wave bands in a slightly warmer honey-cream tone. The drill pole on Bead B is dark brown rather than the deeper tone of Bead A's pole.
