Ancient Twelve Eye Motif Dzi Bead - Exquisite Condition
This bead is adorned with the Twelve Eye Motif. The Twelve Eye Motif is believed to represent authority, power, and influence. The Chinese hold in high regard for the number TWELVE. There are twelve ornaments on an emperor’s robe, twelve months in the Solar and Lunar calendars, and there are twelve deeds of Buddha.
This bead measures 51.9 mm x 12.9 mm. It is an ancient bead, estimated to be between 500 to 800 years old. It is extremely well preserved.
The bead material is high quality natural agate.
This piece is in excellent condition. There are no cracks on this bead. As with all antique dzi beads, weathering marks and minor digs are all part of the beauty.
