This dzi bead is adorned with the Double Heaven Gate Motif. The Heaven Gate Motif is believed to grant its wearer entry into the realm of spiritual fulfillment or the realization of wisdom. The Gate of Heaven, while not actual physical gates, are representative of the self-understanding, wisdom, and compassion necessary to transcend worldly sufferings. It offers the path to attain enlightenment or Nirvana.
This dzi bead measures 41.8 mm x 12.3 mm. It is an old bead, estimated to be between 500 to 800 years old.
The bead material is high quality natural agate.
