The eyes on this bead are not round. Each is a diamond, its cream-white ring drawn out to four sharp points, with the dark pupil set inside at a different angle from the frame around it.

This antique dzi carries the Six Eye Diamond Spear motif: six diamond eyes spread across the faces, with cream spear or chevron forms between them. On each face two diamond eyes sit in the main band, joined by a vertical cream line; below them the spear lines sweep outward in paired arcs, giving the lower field a pointed, directional feel. The whole design is crisp and structured on the pitch-black ground.

The body is pitch-black, and the bright cream lines keep sharp definition after three to five centuries. The tips turn a warm dark brown, with small, clean drill holes set in the rounded ends.

The surface has a fine, slightly matte age texture across both the dark and cream areas, with small age-consistent marks. No chips or cracks.
