This is an exceptional piece — a large, naturally formed One Eye dzi bead crafted from stunning banded natural agate. What makes this bead extraordinary is that its eye is not etched or man-made. The one eye motif here is created entirely by nature itself: the result of the agate's own extraordinary banding and layering, forming a soft, oval, eye-like zone within the stone.

The bead reads as a flattened, lens-shaped form rather than a standard elongated barrel — broad, disc-like, and substantial in the hand, with a waxy, semi-translucent luster running across every band. Pale grey tones anchor both ends, transitioning into a warm cream zone and then into a soft golden-cream band at the centre, where the natural curvature of the agate's layering reads most clearly as an eye. No two faces show quite the same balance of grey, cream, and gold — the banding shifts gently as the bead is turned, never repeating exactly.

This is a category of dzi greatly admired by collectors precisely because its character comes directly from the stone itself, unmediated by any applied design. No chemical treatment. No etching. Pure natural formation, true to its description.
