A single eye sits just off-centre on this bead, framed on one side by a tight cluster of narrow stripes and on the other by a wider gap before the pattern resumes — an asymmetry that's easy to miss until you compare both halves side by side.

This is a genuine vintage dzi bead, hand-carved and etched in Taiwan during the 1980s. The ground moves from a rich brown to a deeper, near-black tone through the body, verified consistently across all the white-background rotation photos. The cream-white eye ring and connecting stripes hold strong, even contrast against it throughout.

The bead is a classic barrel form, drilled through the centre. The single eye sits inside a partial ring, with plain vertical stripe bands spaced unevenly on either side — tightly grouped on one end, more loosely spaced on the other. This asymmetry gives the piece a slightly different balance than the more evenly-spaced Two Eye pieces elsewhere in this collection. The warm brown translucent gloss visible at the drilled end supports natural agate as the material.
