This bead is vintage, not antique. Crafted before 2000 from natural agate using the traditional dzi crafting technique and given an antique-style finish, it has since gained over two decades of its own age, and we want that clear from the first line.

This Seven Eye belongs to our vintage antique-style line, sharing its construction with our vintage Nine Eye beads (same era, same hand, same finishing) while carrying its own motif and palette. The composition runs two large cream-white ring eyes per side face, each with a soft pale blue-grey shadow at its inner edge, with small crescent-dot elements between the main eyes and vertical stripe dividers framing each face.

The ground, consistent across several flat-lit, white-background photographs, is a warm dark brown, distinctly warmer than the black-to-olive grounds of the Nine Eye beads. The motif is a bright cream-white, with the faint blue-grey shadowing inside the eyes adding a second, quieter tone to a high-contrast design.

Both end caps are intact, each with a clean, round drill opening. The caps are warm honey-amber to tan, a softer, more golden colour than the rust-orange to amber-gold caps of several Nine Eye beads.

We disclose its age directly: this is not a centuries-old antique dzi. It was made in that visual tradition before 2000, and today it is a piece with twenty-plus years of genuine age since it was finished, different both from a brand-new bead and from an antique.

The bead is an elongated barrel with smoothly rounded shoulders, tapering gently at both ends. The gloss is even across both faces, with no cracks, chips, or medicine digs visible. No bloodspots are visible.
