Nine Eye Dzi Bead, 54.6×12.5mm, Dark Brown Agate, 200–400 Years (At-091626-9E)

We never retouch our photos. What you see is exactly what you will receive.

The nine eyes on this bead run in two rows — upper and lower — across each face, with S-curve cream lines connecting the columns between them. The arrangement fills both faces evenly, the connector lines giving the composition a linked, continuous quality from one end of the barrel to the other. Rotate the bead and the same structure repeats on the opposite face: same stacking, same connectors, the full nine-eye count distributed symmetrically across the two sides.

The ground is dark brown agate, uniform from drill end to drill end with no zone shift. The cream motif lines carry a slight warm tone against it — not stark white, but the warmer cream that develops in this material type over two to four centuries of age. The contrast between ground and motif is strong and consistent across all four white-background photographs. The bead's form is elongated fusiform, tapering smoothly to both drill ends.

Both drill holes are small and clean with no chipping at the rim. No cracks and no chips are visible on any face. The surface shows the even, settled character of a bead that has been handled and worn over a long period — smooth, with no structural compromise anywhere. I independently confirm both.

A rotating video is included documenting all faces in sequence.

The Nine Eye Motif

The nine eye dzi (九眼天珠) is among the most revered of all dzi bead forms. Nine eyes correspond in Tibetan Buddhist tradition to the nine-fold path to enlightenment and to the nine planets of classical Tibetan cosmology. The nine-eye bead is understood to bring the wearer into alignment with all nine of these forces simultaneously — attracting wealth, eliminating obstacles, and extending protection across every domain of life. It is widely regarded in Tibet, China, and across Asia as the most powerful of all dzi bead motifs, and is particularly favoured by those in business and commerce for its association with the drawing in of fortune and abundance.
