Turn the focal bead and the motif changes completely: one face holds an open oval, the other a rectangular frame, and the two are understood as heaven and earth.

This bracelet shares its construction with our Double Tiger Tooth Dzi Bracelet: one elongated dzi focal bead, two natural turquoise accents, sixteen pitch-black agate rounds, silver-tone rondelle spacers, elastic cord, fitting wrists up to 17.5cm. The difference is the focal bead, and that difference is total. Where the Tiger Tooth bracelet centres on a diagonal chevron, this one centres on the Heaven and Earth composition, a bead carrying two distinct symbolic statements, one on each face, that reveal themselves as you turn it.

Face A (Image 2) presents the heaven element: a large open oval ring within horizontal banding, framing a warm dark brown centre. It is an open form, an unframed space within a structured field. Face B (Image 3) presents the earth element: horizontal stripe bars with a central rectangular dark zone, a contained, structured composition that reads as foundation and boundary. Together the two faces give the Heaven and Earth reading: open above, structured below; expansion and containment.

The focal dzi has a warm sandy-cream to honey-tan ground, cream-dominant, with dark chocolate-brown markings forming the oval and bands. It is a new bead, crafted within the last 20 years from natural agate using the traditional dzi crafting technique.

The two turquoise beads flanking the focal dzi are medium teal-green with visible natural matrix, set symmetrically one on each side and separated from it by silver-tone rondelle spacers. The sixteen black agate rounds are pitch-black, highly polished and evenly sized, their glossy dark surface making both the cream-ground dzi and the teal turquoise stand out clearly. More silver-tone spacers appear at intervals through the black agate band.

The bracelet fits wrists up to 17.5cm. This is a smaller fit than standard, so please measure before purchasing.

The Heaven and Earth (天地) Motif

The Heaven and Earth dzi is understood in Tibetan and Chinese tradition as a bead of balance and alignment. The oval or eye form represents heaven, open and receptive, while the horizontal bands and rectangular element represent earth, grounded and defined. Together they express the relationship between sky and ground, expansion and foundation.
