One face of the focal bead holds a single eye. Turn it over and there are two. The three eyes are never all on the same face.

This bracelet pairs one elongated Three Eye dzi with two natural turquoise accents and sixteen pitch-black agate rounds, finished with gold-tone rondelle spacers on elastic cord. The focal bead is a dark-ground dzi — deep warm chocolate-brown with bold sandy-tan parallel stripe bands along its full length. The gold-tone spacers echo the warm stripes of the dzi and set off the teal turquoise.

The Three Eye motif is split across two faces in the classic one-and-two arrangement. Face A (Image 2) shows one eye — a rounded oval with a cream-tan ring and warm brown centre, set within the stripes. Face B (Image 4) shows two eyes side by side, separated by the stripe banding. You have to turn the bead to count all three. The closely spaced parallel stripes give it a clean, structured, formal look.

The two turquoise beads are a medium teal-green with visible natural matrix, placed symmetrically either side of the dzi. The black agate rounds are glossy and evenly sized, giving strong contrast to both the dzi and the turquoise, with gold-tone spacers at intervals through the band.

The focal dzi is a new bead, made within roughly the last 20 years using the traditional dzi crafting technique.

The Three Eye Motif

The Three Eye dzi (三眼天珠) is associated with happiness, success and longevity — a triple blessing in one bead. It is also linked with the three times (past, present and future) and with the Three Jewels of Buddhism: the Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha. It is one of the most popular eye motifs for everyday protection and good fortune.
