This Luk Mik bead does not have one concentric ring — it has several, and each one sits at a different tone inside the last.
Where R-060626-LM presents a single pale blue-grey band on a pitch-black ground, this ring — R-060626-LM2 — carries a Luk Mik bead of a completely different character. The 13.7mm bead at its centre is a deep cool grey-brown throughout, confirmed from the white-background photographs. The concentric Luk Mik bands read as a sequence of tones rather than a single stripe: a darker outer ring, a cool grey-taupe middle band, and a warmer sandy-taupe inner zone surrounding the centre — a multi-ring structure that gives the bead more visual depth and warmth than the high-contrast pitch-black variant. Viewed from directly above (Image 4), the bead reads as a set of nested ovals, each a slightly different tone, the eye drawn inward step by step.
The setting is clean and geometric — a deliberate departure from the ornate dragon-engraved shank of R-060626-LM. Here the bezel is a four-claw prong construction holding the bead at the cardinal points, flanked on each shoulder by a single triangular pavé CZ panel. The triangle panels are set flush with the shank surface, clear white CZ stones filling the geometric frame on both sides. The shank itself is smooth and unadorned between the panels — polished silver-tone metal with no relief engraving, no figural casting. The result is a more contemporary, architectural feel: bead at centre, triangles as accent, clean metal as frame.
The underside (Image 7) confirms the same open-back adjustable split-band construction used in R-060626-LM — a sliding mechanism allowing the ring to be worn across a wide range of finger sizes without modification. The inner bezel reveals the pale cool grey underside of the bead clearly, and the inner shank carries a subtle textured casting that adds quiet detail without competing with the front face. The inner shank stamp visible in Image 6 confirms the metal specification.
This ring is vintage — not antique, not new production. The Luk Mik dzi is high-quality natural Himalayan agate. The setting is silver-tone metal with CZ stones. It is a wearable piece for daily use, the Luk Mik motif's protective symbolism placed directly on the hand in a setting designed to complement rather than overwhelm the bead.
The Luk Mik (祿命/Lù Mìng) Motif
Luk Mik — 祿命 (Lù Mìng) in Chinese — translates as "life force" or "vitality of fortune." The concentric band structure of the Luk Mik motif is understood in Tibetan tradition as the eye of heaven: an unbroken orbital ring representing clarity of vision, continuity of protection, and alignment with cosmic order. Luk Mik dzi are worn to strengthen the wearer's vitality, shield against illness and misfortune, and enhance personal fortune. The multi-ring variant carried by this bead — with its nested concentric tones — amplifies that orbital quality, the eye appearing to recede inward toward a calm centre. Setting the bead in a ring places this protection at the point of action — the hand — where it operates continuously through daily life.
