This is the second piece in our vintage nine-eye pairing, and it shares its sibling's continuous S-meander composition: three open C-ring eyes per lateral face, joined by an unbroken stepped line that travels the full circumference of the bead. Where the two pieces diverge is in their particulars, and those particulars are worth naming rather than glossing over.

This bead runs slightly longer and a touch thicker than its companion piece — 57.4mm against 56.5mm, 13.8mm against 13.6mm — a modest but real difference you'll notice if you handle them side by side. The ground colour leans a little warmer in transition zones near both end caps, with the deep black giving way more gradually into the honey-brown cap tone rather than the sharper black-to-cap boundary seen on the other piece. Most notably, one end cap on this bead shows a rougher, slightly irregular drill opening, with visible surface texture right at the hole — a real condition detail from this bead's actual history, not something we're going to photograph around or describe vaguely.
